Private Chapel Service

For a smaller gathering, you may wish to consider having the funeral held in the privacy of our Private Chapel.  We can accommodate up to 10 people, with the Celebrant taking the Service.

Small, intimate funeral service

Conducted within the quiet space of the Chapel, which was dedicated in 2014 by Clergy from nearby St Thomas' Church, this provides a place for celebration and reflection. Music can be played to enhance the atmosphere of religious or non-religious Services alike.   
 
As the Crematorium Chapel is not used, this can significantly reduce the cost of a funeral if combined with a non-attended cremation.

Our Private Chapel Service includes

  • Local removal in Office Hours
  • Completion of all documentation
  • Chapel Viewing by arrangement
  • Standard-sized oak-veneer coffin 
  • Use of Private Chapel at Funeral Home for Service up to 10 people
  • Direct Cremation Service at the local Crematorium with no attendance or Burial in Churchyard
  • Private Ambulance, Funeral Director and four Bearers travelling directly to the Crematorium or Churchyard

Funeral Details and Costs

The total cost of a Chapel Funeral Service is £1,100 exclusive of disbursements (Doctors' and Officiant's fees, Crematorium or Churchyard costs). Service sheets and flowers are optional extras. 

A payment of 50% is required at the time of booking, the balance is payable within one month..
